Big Development next to this-what a chance to cash in!
The plans call for the west side of the lot to be home to a stand alone building that will house a Starbucks coffee shop, with a drive through. The east side of the lot will be home to a building occupied by with 3 tenants. One of the spaces will have a drive through, in order to accommodate a “fast casual” restaurant such as Sauce or Panera. The middle space will house a retail tenant and the eastern most space will house a restaurant. Both restaurants will have patio spaces facing towards Speedway. There seems to be a need for dining in this particular area, as there are not many options in the vicinity. The hope of the developer is to serve not only the local neighborhoods, but also PCC/U of A students and employees. Construction on the project is expected to start early this year. Update 2/26/2018: The shopping center will be going by the name “University Commons at Feldman’s.” The retail tenant will be T-Mobile store and the stand alone coffee shop will be a Starbucks. The two restaurant spaces do not have tenants that have signed a lease yet. Construction is still scheduled for early 2018.
